A sneak peek into my phone...

If you were to take a glimpse into my phone, here is what you would see!!  I have worked extra hard today to get new designs out to be tested!!  Once I get the approval, these will be listed!!! In the mix are two boy bonnets, a newborn tie, a vintage diaper cover w/ matching tie back, a knit mini blanket, a pillbox hat & a boy knit beanie. I have a lot more that I am working on, I will show those tomorrow!  Be sure to sign up for our newsletter!!  If you have any ideas or items you would like to see me make, comment below!  I love hearing from you!

My sister-in-law was here two weekends ago and introduced me to this Talenti Gelato!!  OH MY MY MY!!!  How did I not know about this stuff before!!!  Simply amazing!!!  You must give it a try!!  This Caribbean Coconut.... *sigh*...no words!  LOL!!

My daughter has also been bringing out her crafty side!!  Painting away and baking cupcakes!  The best part is that she sits next to me while I design new things and in the end she always sweetly says, "Wow mommy!!!  Good job!!  That is beautiful!!!"  She's my best critic.  LOL!!!

I hope you're all having an amazing week!  Tomorrow is Friday!!

A break that was needed!

Wow...I feel refreshed!  I just reopened my shop after closing it for 9 weeks, yes 9 weeks!!!  If I didn't do it, I was going to just crumble.  I was open for 2 1/2 years, running non-stop.  I did close a few times during that time, but I was still running a business behind the scenes catching up on orders, researching materials, marketing, ordering supplies... I just never stopped.  But 6 months ago I started noticing that I was tired all the time, I had high anxieties/stress & just felt down all the time.  I had no desire to leave the house, to do anything fun and I was starting to despise creating!!  I went to Dr's and after blood work and tests...guess what?  Everything is normal!!!  Go figure!  Working non-stop, taking care of a toddler, a home, and a hubby...left little to no time for taking care of me.  My nutrition suffered and my exercising suffered...I started to even lose a TON of hair!!  I was always on the go go go that I never stopped to realize what I was doing to myself.  That's when I decided to take a break.  It was exactly what I needed.  I'm still struggling with the nutrition.  I get stuck with what I should eat...trying to get all the daily nutrition I need on a daily basis.  I'm also working up a schedule and I'm going to stick with it.  Marketing certain hours, answering emails certain hours...etc etc.  Being a one person show is really hard...but I can't give up.  Baby's Breath Handmade took a lot of sweat and tears to get it to where it is today...  I need to just get myself organized and on a healthy routine!

I would love to hear your tips, ideas, even recipes that help you keep on top of your business without it letting it boggle you down!  Comment below!  If you have a blog or follow a certain blog that goes along with this, post it too!  I would love to follow!

I started working on some new designs today and here are two of the completed newborn bonnets now in my shop.  So sweet & delicate!!

I also had my logo revamped a tiny bit with hand drawn Baby's Breath flowers (the inspiration behind my business name b/c of how delicate they are) and I love it!!!!  If you're in need of a new logo, I highly recommend DemoisellePixel!  Carine is an amazing artist!

I look forward to reading your comments!!!

Stay sweet....  Stay chic....

Update! It's been a while!!!

Hello lovelies!!  It's been such a long time!  I've been so busy with so many things - orders, new designs, bridal orders, was sick for a little while and so much more!  NOT to forget, caring for my beautiful Lola who is SO ACTIVE now.  She loves the outdoors...and if it were up to her, we'd be outside every single minute of the day!  HA!  Thankfully I have wonderful family support that has been helping me!

Now I'm in the midst of completing a wholesale order, and creating new designs!!  I also have a big surprise to announce within the next few weeks!  It's something that I am so proud of.  But after receiving so many custom orders, I decided to do it!!!  What am I talking about??  I'll let you in on the secret soon!!!!!

I wanted to share a photo that I received from Chrissie Marie Photography!!!  She was the winner of my Design a Day in March, Veiled Love.   If you missed the post, here it is:

Design of the Day - March 8 - Veiled Love - GIVEAWAY INCLUDED

I have to admit...I'm absolutely smitten with this new photography prop.  Have you seen our Lacy Mohair Wrap?  Here are photos of it:

(Above photo courtesy of Blush Studios)

(Above photo courtesy of Perles Photography)

'Veiled Love' is a vintage & feminine twist to it.  It's funny, as I crocheted this piece I was listening to Enya and other great artists...and when I heard "Ever I Love You" by Tim Janis I started picturing a newborn in this wrap being photographed.  My vision?  A beautiful newborn with softness around her, and a chandelier hanging above.  So photographers...you have the best job ever!!!  So many ways to captures life's precious moments!

My inspiration behind this wrap was a Mantilla.  A Mantilla is a gorgeous lace or silk veil worn over the head and shoulders, popular with women in Spain.

Here is "Veiled Love".  My newest photography prop.  Made with the most softest Alpaca yarn in a pale pale pink.  Soft and sweet...

To use:  Simply lay baby on her side and tuck ends under body.  The scalloped edges will give the "Veiled" look.

Love it?  If you are a professional photographer, leave a comment below!  I will draw a name using Random.org and announce the winner on Friday!  Only one request: must agree to exchange photos so I can use for my shop!  <3

Let me know what you think!!!

It is now listed in my Etsy shop!!!
